George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hart, Billy Strayhorn, Hoagy Carmichael, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and
many other noteworthy composers in the jazz idiom.
Legacy Jazz Band also performs traditional jazz (Dixieland
Jazz). Paying homage to the great founders of the music like Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Scott Joplin, Fats Waller,
"Jelly Roll" Morton, Dukes of Dixieland, and Al Hirt. Ragtime, Stride Second Line, and many others reminiscent sounds
are brought back to life in our tribute to the past.
